CMDC Early Childhood Program
Finding Inspiration in Every Tot
CMDC's Early Childhood Program introduces children to the joy of Dance in a fun, nurturing, and engaging environment while building the foundation for future Dance training. Designed for children ages 3–5, the program helps develop coordination, musicality, confidence, creativity, listening skills, and classroom etiquette through age-appropriate instruction that encourages a lifelong love of Dance.
Our Tots Jam classes, for children ages 3–4, provide a playful introduction to Dance education while exposing young Dancers to two disciplines within each one-hour class. Students may participate in Ballet/Tap or Hip Hop/Acro, allowing them to explore movement, rhythm, and self-expression while developing fundamental motor skills in an encouraging and supportive atmosphere.
At age 5, students enter our "Ballerina Soldiers" class, where they begin the transition from creative movement to more structured Dance instruction. While the classes remain fun and engaging, greater emphasis is placed on technique, discipline, focus, and classroom independence. Ballerina Soldiers continue their training in Ballet/Tap or Hip Hop/Acro, building the skills and confidence needed to successfully transition into CMDC's Open Program at age 6.
The Early Childhood Program lays the groundwork for a lifetime of learning by helping every child develop a strong technical foundation, a love for Dance, and the confidence to continue growing as both a Dancer and an individual.
